Poverty crosses borders, spanning across Tanzania. But hope can do the same. Compassion is sharing the hope of Jesus in Tanzania with children living in poverty. Currently, there are 22 regions and more than 90 districts served (and counting!).
Compassion International Tanzania: Releasing Children from Poverty in Jesus’ Name
Inspired by Jesus’ command to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15, NIV), Compassion International Tanzania (CIT) partners with local churches to share the love of Christ in word and action with children and families living in poverty across Tanzania.
Working alongside more than 600 church partners and the support of child sponsors, CIT serves vulnerable children and youth by addressing their spiritual, physical, socio-emotional, and economic needs. Through church-driven programs, children are nurtured to become thriving followers of Christ who are empowered to break the cycle of poverty.
By providing access to education, nutritious food, healthcare, child protection, and life skills, CIT helps children realize their God-given potential and build a brighter future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
